“The Insanity workout gave me a new body” – Kenneth H. – Entrepreneur, Oklahoma City
Of the many workout routines, Insanity propels interval training to an entirely different level. This training regimen is designed to help one lose weight and gain lean muscle mass. It will increase energy levels and enable one to overcome fatigue.
It is based on the theory of “Max Interval Training.” This fitness approach has a philosophy in which the trainee engages in surges of high intensity exercises followed by short periods of rest or lower intensity exercises.
Insanity has many workout routines
that are designed to help one burn fat a lot faster than conventional cardio exercises.
Additionally, these workout routines come with an exhaustive list of scientifically proven nutrition facts that are organized for one to have a successful diet as part of the program.
The Insanity workout was created and designed by Shaun T. (Shuan Thompson). Sean is a celebrity personal trainer and also choreographer. He was very athletic and grew up playing football, baseball, and track. However in his freshman year in college, he gained 50 pounds and changed his major to fitness. Fitness transformed his life.
Shuan moved out to LA and with the help of Beach Body Inc. launched a series of 10 DVDs called “Insanity.” It has been referred to as “the hardest of the workout routines ever put on DVD” and is sold through infomercials and other marketing avenues. Many have stated that after completing the full set of the 10 DVDs they lost a significant amount of body fat, increased lean muscle mass, and have an abundance of energy.
These workout routines are referred to as a home-based gym system. They are similar to
P90X. However, where P90X
is done over a period of 90 days, Insanity promises to deliver results in 60 days.
The “max interval training” method, on which it is based, advocates exercising for about 3 to 4 minutes very strenuously and then cool down for approximately 30 seconds before starting the process all over again. This fitness model reverses the traditional methodology of interval training. The results have been very effective for those who stick with the workout routines.
Hard Work Produces a Hard Body
This is definitely one of the most strenuous of all workout routines to undertake. One must put forth a maximal effort in the areas of speed and power while training with the DVDs.
This program is not for the weak minded or people who are lazy. It will push you to limits that your physical body has never experienced before. But it will deliver insane results in the shortest time possible giving you a hard lean body.
Specific sports drills, calisthenics, plyometrics, and other exercises are all combined together during each training session. This is interval training with great intensity to get one in peak physical condition in 60 days.
In the first month, five great cardio exercises are taught. One will work out six days a week about 35 minutes per session. Even the warm-ups will seem like a difficult workout. This first month prepares the trainee for the last month.
The last month introduces four new workouts that will take about 45 minutes each done over a 6 day period. During this last 30 days one will reach fitness levels that he or she never knew before. This is where mind over matter must come in to work hard to reach these levels.
This is maximum interval training that must be done with maximum intensity. These workout routines will make you feel like you’re going insane, hence its illustrious name.
